The Ethiopian government is working to improve the quality of instruction and increase access to education. Despite gains in access, the quality of education has historically been falling. This had an influence on how well-suited human resources might be found by various industries.

The ministry of education started administering exit examinations to graduating classes this year (2023) in an effort to solve this issue of quality. It is envisaged that this will guarantee that students possess the information and abilities required to meet occupational norms.

The issues with quality are not limited to higher education; they stem from issues that arose in elementary and high school but weren’t appropriately addressed. For instance, less than 4% of the students achieved a score better than 50% on the 2022 high school graduation test. It proves that the country has significant quality issues.

A lucrative business that can be launched with a reasonable amount of cash is said to exist for every problem. In addition to being financially rewarding, working to enhance education will have a long-lasting impact on society.
